OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

This tool is self-adjusting so unlike the guesswork you have with slotted crimping die sets, it is very simple to use. Just remember the adjustment knob settings!

On the side of the tool you will see an arrow shaped lever that can be turned depending on which crimping range you are working in:

  • Arrow pointing forward = the tool crimps 28 to 10 AWG wire ferrules
  • Arrow pointing backward = the tool crimps 8 to 6 AWG wire ferrules

The best way to engage the arrow lever is to release the tool so it is in the open position with the handles fully extended. This is the point that you turn the lever to the correct position and then you are ready to crimp! Since the tool has a 12mm frontal crimping cavity, any ferrules longer than that length will not be compatible. We suggest a side-loading crimping tool for these longer ferrules so that they can be fed through for multiple crimping rotations.
